At JEDI, the health and well-being of our staff, clients, partners and the communities we serve across the north state are of the utmost importance. In these unprecedented times, we want you to know we care and we are committed to providing you with continued service, timely and quality information and resources to get through this time.
In response to the continuing concern of COVID-19 in our community, we are taking precautionary steps and following the recommendations and guidelines provided by county, state, and federal agencies to keep our partners and community members healthy and to help reduce the number of those potentially exposed to the virus. The health, safety, and well-being of all individuals, families and businesses throughout the north state is our highest priority. This is a challenging time for all of us all and, in particular, for small business owners, their families and communities. We are hearing and experiencing the major disruption and economic hardship that has started and are working to stay connected and bring resources to you and our community.
We are open for business in a revised format, so please let us know how we can assist you. We know that connecting in the ways that are safe right now is more important than ever.JEDI is committed to assist small business owners with guidance and resources as we navigate through this unprecedented period of uncertainty. The Women’s Business Center is helping entrepreneurs navigate resources and make wise choices right now. We are open for business…online!
JEDI is also advocating for Farmers Markets to be considered like grocery stores and not shut down in this extreme time of need. We are also adjusting our schedule and procedures so that the VITA free tax prep program can remain available to some throughout this time. Please call first to get instructions from the VITA team: 888-926-6670, x103.
Please note the following changes to JEDI and particular program schedules:
We are open for business…online! Effective Tuesday, March 17th, both JEDI offices will be physically closed and staff will work remotely. We are continuing our normal business hours. Contact us by phone or email so we can stay in touch and work with you by email, phone, and remote access. 888-926-6670 and firstname.lastname@example.org.
Women’s Business Center: We are here to help, maybe more now than ever. We can help with tough business decisions, access to economic injury loans, planning for workforce reduction and much more.
- We have moved all our in-person workshops to online for the foreseeable future. Check out our schedule on Facebook or our website.
- Confirm your appointments with WBC consultants by email and phone. We don’t want to miss a beat with you. If you are waiting for your first appointment, be sure you contact Jenny Payton to schedule your discovery session.
Mt. Shasta Farmers Market: We are working on our 2020 application that will be available soon. Please send all inquiries regarding the farmers market to: email@example.com or message us on Facebook. We are also advocating to keep markets across the state open during these times as fresh food is critical, just like grocery stores.
VITA free tax prep program: The state has extended the CA tax filing deadline by 60 days. We have not heard about the federal filing date being extended. We are revising our format a bit to limit the contact between taxpayers working with volunteers. The Governor has asked people 65 and older to self-isolate and especially if at high risk and we support this. We are suspending all FSA appointments mid-week. Please consider sending us your documents to complete your taxes by calling and speaking with a volunteer. Do not just drop in. We have suspended tax prep at the Yreka Senior Center as they are closed except for lunch pickups. We have canceled the e-bus that was to be at COS Wednesday. Call JEDI to speak with a volunteer: 888-926-6670, x103.
