JEDI sponsors the IRS Volunteer Tax Assistance Program (VITA), which offers free tax preparation to senior citizens and low to-moderate income individuals and families.
Turns out we’re good at it; in 2010, JEDI was voted IRS VITA Partner of the Year.
Through this effort, seniors can rest easy that they are taking care of their tax business from a trust-worthy source and JEDI has assisted hundreds of wage earners to claim their fair portion of the $2 million in unclaimed Earned Income Tax, child care credit and more.
JEDI Will Continue to Use the “Drop Off” Method for 2017
We will not be making appointments again for 2017. You will drop off your tax documents and pick them up one week later on Fridays January 27-April 7, 2017. You can call JEDI at 530-926-6670 ext 15 for more information about what to bring. Please pay attention because we will not have time to answer any questions until you are on-site dropping off documents.
Once you are at JEDI and have your intake interview (just drop in on a Friday from 1:00-4:00 pm for the 30 minute meeting with a certified volunteer), your return will be prepared by a certified volunteer and will be ready for pick up the following Friday between 9:00 and 12:00.
